GLP-1 Consultation: Product Eligibility and Care Questions

November 3, 2026

Disclosure: This guide is published by AirMedFit. It is general information, not a determination that a particular medicine or service is appropriate or available for you.

A consultation should identify the exact product and treatment goal before discussing eligibility. A brand name, an ingredient and a medicine class are different levels of description. Ask which formulation and route are being considered and which current prescribing information applies.

Prepare what is already known

The NIDDK weight-management medicine overview explains that health professionals consider health problems, medicines, preferences and other factors when choosing treatment. A single weight or BMI number is not an individual approval decision.

You can bring an optional private list of medicines, supplements, relevant diagnoses, prior treatment experiences and questions. Include pregnancy or pregnancy plans when relevant. Existing reports may help, but this guide does not require new tests or a waiting period before requesting care.

Ask for an individual plan

  • What diagnosis and treatment goal would this exact product address?

  • Which warnings or contraindications apply to my history and medicines?

  • What additional information, if any, would change your recommendation?

  • What written instructions, device training and follow-up would I receive?

  • Which symptoms need prompt contact or urgent assessment, and how can I reach you?

  • What alternatives would you consider if this product is unsuitable?

Do not transfer a dose or schedule from another brand, device, concentration or online example. Our GLP-1 switching questions explain what to reconcile when a product changes.

Separate three decisions

Clinical suitability, service availability and insurance coverage require separate confirmation. Ask the service about clinician credentials, jurisdiction, scope, current fees and follow-up. Ask the insurer about the exact product and indication, authorization requirements and the applicable review process. A consultation does not promise a prescription or coverage.

Read the current terms on the consultation page. This guide does not quote service or laboratory prices, determine coverage, or provide a universal testing or titration schedule.
